Army cadets are put through their paces
Over 60 Army cadets spent their summer field day at St George’s Barracks in North Luffenham with 16 Regiment Royal Artillery. As well as practising their marksmanship on the 25m range, cadets were also put through their paces on an obstacle course and were given a go on a Rapier simulator.
16 Regiment Royal Artillery were deployed to the London Olympics last year to provide air defence for the Games. Captain Jonathan Lampier, their Operations Officer, was instrumental in organising the day and was delighted to see so many cadets attend. For the Year 10 Army cadets, this is the finale to their first year of training.
