A-level students at SES celebrate their results
Students at the Stamford Endowed Schools - Stamford School (boys) and Stamford High School (girls) - are again celebrating strong A’ level examination results.
Overall the 183 students gained grades of A*, A, B or C in 84% of their examinations. Of the 548 A’ level exams taken, a pleasing 195 resulted in either A* or A grades. 27 students (about one in six of all students) gained at least three A grades.
Stephen Roberts, Principal of the Endowed Schools, said "I would like to congratulate the students on their exam results. There were many outstanding individual performances which are the culmination of two years’ hard work. I would also like to thank the teaching staff for their professionalism and dedication. With rising university fees, students are thinking more about the benefit of university and it is very pleasing that the vast majority of our students who have applied will have gained a place at university. For those pursuing other paths, their excellent grades and broad education will give them a strong advantage in the job market. I wish all of our departing students every success in the next stage of their educational journey."
