Art Prize for Stamford High School Pupil
Annie Davis, who is a Y11 Art GCSE student, has been awarded first prize for the Welland Valley Art Society Young Person’s Award. She received a cheque and vouchers for Coleman’s at a presentation on Sunday 2nd May at Stamford Art Centre. Annie’s winning art work was a small canvas still-life painting of a cluster of vividly coloured chilli peppers, rendered using acrylic paints. This competition runs each year and is open to students from all the local secondary schools in the area up to the age of sixteen. Annie’s art work will be on display during the SHS GCSE Art exhibition in June.
