Students Attend Intelligence Squared Debate

15 students from the Stamford Endowed Schools enjoyed a rare opportunity to share an auditorium with UKIP's Nigel Farage and political legend Ken Livingstone in a debate at The Royal Geographical Society hosted by Intelligence Squared, a global forum for debate and intelligent discussion. The motion for the debate," Let them come: we have nothing to fear from high levels of immigration”, led to a barrage of questions from the audience and a marginal win for the opposition. Other speakers in the debate included journalist David Aaronovitch, Susie Symes, chair of Europe's first museum of immigration and diversity and Harriet Sergeant, author of the book "Among the Hoods - my years with a teenage gang."
