PA Raise Funds for Stamford Young Person’s Service

 StamfordYoung Persons serviceThe Supporters of Stamford High School (SOSH) raised £361 for Stamford Young Person’s Service (also known as Shyp house) at their annual Christmas Fair at the Arts Centre. Stamford Young Person’s Service provides support to eight 16 - 25 year olds who are homeless or threatened with homelessness. The charity was chosen by the Stamford High School student’s as their local charity and they will raise funds for them throughout the academic year.

Sarah Hamblin, Assistant Manager of Shyp House, and resident Jaide Dixon (16) visited Stamford High School to receive their cheque and meet members of the Parents Association. 

Fiona Brown, Chair of the Supporters of Stamford High School, said: “Thank you to everyone who visited our Christmas fair and gave generously to the Stamford Young Person’s charity. The Stamford High School girls have chosen this as their local charity of the year and the Supporters of Stamford High were delighted to add to their total. Hopefully the donation will help the residents and give them a Christmas treat.”
