Spring Term Ends on a High with Charity Donations
Stamford School had a successful spring term of charity work as the students continued their focus towards breaking the £20k fundraising record set last academic year.
At the end of March, the School welcomed the prestigious Gentlemen of St John’s choir as they performed a concert along with the SES Chamber and Chapel Choirs. The concert raised £1,200 and the money raised will contribute to a donation made to St Martin’s Church.
Stamford School also continued their support of Stamford Foodbank as form groups collected food and Easter eggs. Prizes were awarded to 7RJBH and 10ROP for making the biggest contributions.
The term ended with a Games Kit Aid collection. Pupils raised equipment and clothing for LV=SOS Kit Aid (http://www.lvsoskitaid.com/), enabling games kit to be sent to youngsters both in the UK and in 20 developing countries in Eastern Europe, Africa and the South Seas. Well done to everyone for all your efforts!
