Young Songwriter Performs to School

polly freestoneStamford High School student, Polly Freestone (Year 13), performed her song ‘A Clue’ in assembly last week.

Polly has been song writing since she was eleven and then went on to teach herself to play guitar when she was thirteen. She only started performing to audiences a year ago but since then has gone from strength to strength, culminating in her recent audition for the Voice UK and a Grade 8 Distinction in singing. Polly started putting videos of her songs on YouTube in 2010 and has performed at various open mic nights, parties and competitions.

Polly said: “In the future, I would love to continue to enhance my experience of performing my own songs to an audience, and hopefully I will get the opportunity to do this when I move to London in September to study Acting and Global Theatre at university.”
