Y12 Art Students Attend Life Drawing Course

Stamford High School Girls Gain Exclsuive Places on Life Drawing CourseTwo Y12 Art pupils, Emma Brassington and Isadora Cole, were chosen to attend a life drawing week run by ‘The Collection’ museum in Lincoln during the summer holiday (26 – 30th July). These two students did very well to be selected, as only 20 AS students from the whole of Lincolnshire were able to attend the course.

On the 31st of July an exhibition was held of the students’ work at Bishop Grosseteste College in Lincoln showing the very high standard work they had produced. It was then announced then that one student from each age category would be chosen to have their work exhibited in The Usher Art gallery, which is due to be re-opened after a re-fit in October. Emma Brassington was chosen to be the student to represent the year 12 group and will therefore have her work exhibited in the gallery and displayed at the prestigious touring exhibition of the BP National Portrait Award.
