SES Goes Pink in Aid of Race for Life
On Sunday 1st June 2014 over 70 girls, staff and their family and friends from SES took part in the Stamford Race for life at Burghley. The Race for Life is the largest women-only fundraising event in the UK. Since 1994, women of all ages and fitness levels across the UK have come together at these inspiring events to walk, jog or run to help beat cancer. Since Race for Life began an incredible 5.4 million participants across the UK raised over £362 million to fund the work of over 4,000 researchers, doctors and nurses dedicated to helping more people beat cancer and the SES community remains committed to taking part in this annual event.
Lynette Harte, Head of Psychology at the Stamford Endowed Schools, said: “This was a fantastic turnout and it was wonderful to be part of such a moving and inspirational national fundraising event.”
