Cadets Put Skills to the Test

18 Year 10 cadets from both Stamford School and Stamford High School went on a weekend exercise near Thetford. After getting to grips with basic camp craft, the cadets put into practice everything they had learnt this year including camouflage and concealment, pairs fire and manoeuvre, and section attacks. The training on the Saturday culminated in a perfectly executed ambush, and on Sunday morning they were put in two platoon attacks that mopped up the final ‘enemy resistance.’ Three Year 12 cadets supported the exercise and practised their leadership skills to great effect.
