Students Tasked with Design Project for Stamford
Year 12 students have designed a series of concepts to solve Stamford’s on-going A-Board dispute. Representatives from the Stamford Town Committee tasked the SES Design and Technology department with a possible solution to the cluttering of A-Boards on Stamford High Street. They set the students a brief to create durable boards with interchangeable slots, so retailers could insert their adverts.
The students worked in groups of three to create a model and one A3 sheet to justify their designs. Earlier this week the Stamford Town Team had a meeting where they assessed the three prototypes created by the SES students.
The Town Team could only use highly positive comments about the students work and professionalism of both model and information sheet. Following on from this meeting they are going to take the models and information sheets to the council meeting for further development.
Hopefully the end result will mean that one groups work will be constructed and then installed at the entrance of each of the small lanes off the High Street to advertise the smaller shops.
