Pupil Wins National ASA Award

 Olivia Lee swimming Olivia Lee, a Year 6 pupil at Stamford Junior School, recently won the Amateur Swimming Association’s award for Young Swimmer of the Year.

Olivia was chosen out of hundreds down to just three young swimmers to go up for the awards, having been put forward by her local swimming club, due to a fantastic and medal-winning season in the pool. The ASA Swimtastic awards annually recognise the rising stars from swimming clubs across the country. Olivia attended the Award Ceremony in Birmingham with many other young swimmers as well as athletes and coaches from the swimming world.

Year 6 teacher Mr M Sutterby said “I am so thrilled for Olivia. She puts so much time and effort into her swimming and this is a great reward for her.”
