Students Celebrate at GCSE Presentation Evening
GCSE presentation evenings at both Stamford School and Stamford High School have taken place over the last few weeks. A chance for students to gain their official exam certificates, celebrate their hard work over the past few years and look forward to their next steps.
At Stamford School, they celebrated the successes of nearly 120 boys, including 25 who joined the sixth form to pursue their A-Level studies at the Stamford Endowed Schools. Out of the 111 students in the 2014 class, 91% achieved A*- C grades. On the night, there was a diverse programme of drama, poetry and music all performed by the students. Inspiring talks were given by the Head of Sixth Form, Mr Geoffrey Brown and guest speaker, Mr Simon Selkirk, a local businessman. The key message was: time flies, but you are the pilot.
