Young Writers have the L-Factor!
In November, Stamford Junior School pupils enjoyed Literacy Week where they took part in a range of activities based around this year’s ‘Big Write’ theme.
The pupils all participated in creative writing sessions with the best stories being chosen for the ‘Bootcamp’ stage of the L-Factor (Literacy) competition. This led to the Junior School’s L-Factor Finale, where the finalists from each Key Stage read their stories to the whole school. The panel of eminent judges: Mr Goodman and Mr Kendall, had a difficult choice, but were finally able to choose winners according to the agreed criteria. Shreya Gorania (Year 2), Lara Treharne Jones (Year 4) and Ella Grundy (Year 6) were chosen as overall winners and received well deserved book tokens.
