Year 6 Pupils Study Local Democracy

Stamford Junior School’s Year 6 pupils have been learning about local democracy and they visited the Town Hall to meet Stamford Mayor, Clem Walden. They were impressed at the glistening regalia in the Mayor's Parlour - the mace alone is worth £500,000 - and were privileged to sit in on a real Council meeting. The pupils will be running their own mock election campaign during the run up to the General Election in May.
