Students Tackle the Rat Race
A group of students from the Stamford Endowed Schools took part in the World’s biggest assault course at the Rat Race Dirty Weekend in Burghley Park.
A team from the senior boys’ boarding house, Browne, made up of Callum Crellin, Harry Lovell, Henry Hives, and Tom Roper (about 5 hours) Declan Spaine and Josh Allen (about 6 hours) along with their Housemaster Mr Leigh Ware completed the 20 mile-200 Obstacle course. Tom and Henry also completed the full 130 metres Monkey Bars. With Will Whitehouse, Charlie Dunbar and Sam Butler completed the Half Mudder, 13 miles-150 obstacles.
Beth Pinder and Rachel Dinwoodie from Stamford High School also tackled the course, raising over £400 for the charity, Children with Cancer UK. Both of the girls completed the 200 obstacles in about 7 hours.
