Year 7 Visit Warwick Castle

Year 7 pupils from Stamford High School ventured to Warwick Castle last week to enrich their classroom learning about the development of castles. They had a tour of the castle and were able to discover how it had changed over time, particularly focussing on defence and two possible attacking options, as well as, watching The Birds of Prey and Bowman show. One lucky student, Breanna Tye, was able to help the Bowman with his explanation of the weaponry, volunteering to administer the stopwatch and demonstrating how heavy their swords were! No visit to the castle was complete without venturing into the Gaol and looking at some of the grim torments people endured during their incarceration. Many other aspects and displays were explored and the day was rounded off with ice-cream and a visit to the gift shop.
