Swim School Coordinator Appointed Local ASA President

The Stamford Swim School has been running since 2013, open to pupils of the schools, parents and public. Martyn Reynolds, the Swim School’s coordinator, has recently been appointed the Lincolnshire County Amateur Swimming Association’s President.

The ASA is the governing body for swimming, diving, water polo, open water and synchronised swimming in England. The local President is elected by members of the Lincolnshire County Council executive, and they go on to act as chairman for executive meetings and provide direction for the county in all aquatic sport.

The position is also an honorary role, representing the County of Lincolnshire at Regional ASA and National ASA Competitions, usually watching the aquatic activity and presenting awards to winning teams.

Martyn has said: “This is a purely voluntary position and I considered it an honour to be elected the role."
