First XV Players Picked in Representative Call-ups

Stamford School Rugby selections Stamford School senior rugby squad has been celebrating successes with numerous representative call ups.

First XV Captain Henry Wills and Vice-captain Callum Corbett, have progressed through the regional trials to make selection for the English Independent School Lambs squad.

This is a repressive side taken from all independent schools across England for boys at the end of their school rugby careers. They are playing matches against other invitational sides from Wales, Scotland and Ireland and will be heading off to Argentina on tour at Easter.

Additionally Mason Coulam, James Martin and James Peachey have all been called into the Leicester Tigers U18 League team. The Tigers have made the play offs and are now competing with Wasps RFC for third place.

Director of rugby David Laventure was full of praise for the players; "It's great for them to be able to develop their game by playing and training at the next level. They have worked hard and are where they are on merit. We're all looking forward to seeing how their careers progress."

A final word of congratulations must also go to Ed Cox, Alfie Shaw and Zac Godfrey who are also part of the Tigers talent programme and were selected for NLD 16 Group.
