Stamford Endowed Schools to host Izzy Bizu return

Izzy bizuOn Tuesday 27th September, Stamford Endowed Schools will play host to rising music star –and Stamford High School Old Girl- Izzy Bizu for a special one-off concert as a result of Rutland Radio’s organised event.

Izzy, 22, will be performing for around 30-45 minutes in Stamford School’s Oswald Elliott Hall to a small audience. This unique concert has been arranged by Rutland Radio who in the past couple of weeks have ran a competition to form the audience.

Izzy’s stock has soared in 2016, with achievements such as being shortlisted for a Brit critics’ choice award, longlisted for the BBC’s Sound of 2016 poll, touring with Sam Smith and singing the sound track for the BBC’s coverage of Euro 2016. Izzy has recently released her debut album, ‘A Moment of Madness’, featuring acclaimed singles ‘Diamond’ and ‘White Tiger’.

In the morning of the 27th Izzy is scheduled to be the guest on Radio 1’s prestigious Live Lounge show. From there she is returning to Stamford to perform this exclusive concert.
