SHS Girls Dance to the Top
A group of Stamford High School students have been taking part in regional dance festivals through Welland School of Dance.
Amelia Davidson and Sasha Robinson were entered into the South Lincs and Kesteven Dance Festival. Amelia came first in the age 10-11 category, despite this being the first dance festival that she had entered. Sasha also achieved success with second place in Modern Dance in the senior category.
Four other Stamford High School students represented Welland School of Dance at the Huntingdon Dance Festival. Josephine Nelms attained second place in the senior Classical Ballet solo category. Sisters Joséphine and Marianne Vié were placed first in the Classical Ballet Duo category. Marianne was also placed second in the Modern Dance category.
All the girls are currently choreographing dances to perform in ‘The Showcase of Dance’ in January.
