RAF CCF Achieve Fifth in National Air Squadron Trophy
Over the weekend of 11th and 12th March the Stamford Endowed Schools RAF Cranwell team competed at the National Air Squadron Trophy at RAF Halton, where they achieved fifth place nationally.
The cadets had to compete in a round robin of activities which included, RAF knowledge, drill and uniform, command task, shooting, aircraft recognition, first aid and a multi-stage fitness test.
The team scored second in the command task and third in the fitness test category, demonstrating how excellently they trained and worked together. The teams fifth place finish meant that they came fifth nationally from over 200 schools who qualified to compete.
Jay Naylor, who lead the team said, “As I'm sure you can imagine I am very happy with the result and I am extremely proud of the team of cadets I was able to lead.”
