Spanish Language Theatre Company Visit
140 pupils from Stamford School and Stamford High School watched a play by a visiting Spanish theatre company. Onatti Productions, who produce plays for students aged 11-16, performed a comedy called ‘Horóscopo’, which was aimed at those taking GCSE Spanish.
In preparation, the students had received part of the script prior to the performance and had looked at in it class. The play was entirely in Spanish, but the students were pleasantly surprised with the amount of language they understood.
Spanish teacher and organizer at Stamford School, Catherine Pike, said “All of the students greatly enjoyed the performance, especially the scene when one of them was invited onto the stage to become part of the production!”
