Annual Burghley Run
This year we were blessed with perfect running conditions for the annual Burghley Run. 200 Junior School boys and girls competed in a total of eight races of various distances according to their age and ability, from 750 metres for the youngest runners up to two kilometres for the more able Year 6 runners. The supportive parents witnessed some excellent efforts across the range of races and a number of close and exciting finishes. This included Angus Macbeth and Toby Crane battling out a tremendous race in the Y6 A race and William Smye and Callum Farmer taking the honours in the Y5A and Y4A races respectively. Belton were the overall winners of the competition, and it was most pleasing sight to see runners from all the houses enjoying their running through the beautiful grounds of Burghley Park.
