Operation Christmas Child

Stamford Junior School shoe box appealStamford Junior School is helping to support deserving children abroad this Christmas with a shoe box appeal. The children, their families and staff have been very busy gift wrapping shoe boxes and filling them with items such as toys, educational supplies, gloves, sunglasses, toothpaste, hairbrush, comb and bars of soap etc. Mrs Sampson, the school Charities Co-ordinator is delighted that over 300 boxes have now been packed and despatched and wishes to thank everyone concerned.

The scheme is arranged by the International Relief Charity, Operation Christmas Child and the boxes are delivered to deserving children in Africa, Eastern Europe and Central Asia in time for Christmas.

Many thanks go to the dedicated team of ladies from our Parents’ Association, who checked and sorted each box before they were collected by our local area Samaritan’s Purse representatives. Pictured are some of the children taking their boxes to be loaded.
