SES Perform Well at District Cross-Country
Stamford High School hosted the South Kesteven District Cross-Country Championships last month in Burghley Park.
Several hundred runners took part from ten schools across the district, including the Stamford Endowed Schools, Stamford Queen Eleanor School and schools from Sleaford and Grantham.
Stamford School and Stamford High School had a strong overall performance, with at least one top ten finisher in all the races the Schools competed in. The Schools had three runners finish in the top ten in the Junior Girls (U15), Junior Boys (U15), Intermediate Boys (U17) and Senior Boys (U19) races.
The runners were also competing to represent South Kesteven in the County Championships. Thanks to some great individual performances, a record seventeen boys from Stamford School qualified to run under South Kesteven Colours.
