Tuck Shop raises £200 for Charity

Y11 students presenting a cheque to Anna's Hope Three boys from Stamford School recently presented a cheque for £200 to local charity ‘Anna’s Hope.’

The cheque was presented to Carole Hughes of Anna’s hope from Y11 students Robert Forster, Joe Chedd and William Bourne, who raised the money with proceeds from the LMS tuck shop that Robert has run with the help from the other boys, but very little involvement from staff, over the last 2 years.

Resourceful Robert collects stock from a local cash and carry and adds a small mark-up to generate a profit. This profit is then used to both help fund the Y11 common room to provide items such as furniture, a pool table and stereo, and also to raise money for worthwhile charities, such as Anna’s Hope. The Stamford based charity helps children and young people with brain tumours.

Many congratulations to Robert for such a fantastic effort!
