Tree Planting at Stamford Junior School

Tree planting at Stamford Junior SchoolOn Saturday 5th December an enthusiastic group of pupils, parents and staff planted 70 trees between 11.00 a.m. and 12.00 p.m. at Stamford Junior School as part of a Tree Planting World Record Attempt. A wide variety of trees were specially selected to replace the old and diseased trees that had to be removed on the lower field by the Sports Hall. The wellied volunteers were blessed by a rare window of brilliant sunshine and the direction of Mr Bob Carder, Head Groundsman at SES.
