Junior School Jubilee Picnic
The great British weather forced a royal picnic indoors at the Junior School.
Staff had planned to have a picnic in the school field but rain meant the youngsters, who wore handmade crowns, had to enjoy the meal in the hall instead.
All the children sang the national anthem and some of the pupils played trumpets. During the day, the youngsters all made flags in a bid to crate bunting to stretch around the school and they also took part in a royal quiz.
Michelle Hewett, who organised the day, said “The rain hasn’t stopped us all from having a fun day.”
