Stamford High School Girls Selected for International Football Fixtures

Five Stamford High School girls were selected to attend trials to represent England for the Independent Schools Football Association in a high profile game against their U18 Australian counterparts. Hannah Shiels, Maria Davies, Rachel Garratt, Lauren Rigby and Rebecca Palliser were all put though a high-paced training session in Hampshire and each girl demonstrated outstanding skill, fitness and determination in order to be selected for the squad. Four of the five girls were selected from a group of 40 girls to represent England for the match on Saturday 30th January.

This selection is an exceptional achievement and Rebecca, Lauren, Rachel and Hannah should be commended on their success.
