Stamford High School pupils go Green!
This year for the SHS House Art competition, the girls were tasked with producing a window display for the Greencircle shop on St Mary’s Hill. They were given the theme ‘Tree’, so each House team was allocated a different season to base their project on.
The teams had to produce a tree structure using chicken wire as the base and recycled materials to decorate, bearing in mind the season. They used a range of materials from plastic bags and cardboards boxes, to sweet wrappers and bottle tops.
The judges were Simon Tee, from the Greencircle shop, and Annabelle Holland, Head of Art at SES. They were both impressed with the level of effort and enthusiasm which the girls showed throughout the project. The trees will be on display in the Greencircle shop during the year.
