The whole community of the Stamford Endowed Schools is immensely shocked by the tragic death of Harry who was a popular, intelligent and hard-working student and was greatly respected by his peers and by the teaching staff.
Harry, who was 18 years old, had just taken his A levels in Business Studies, Geography and Psychology and left the School at the beginning of July. This summer he won a School Prize for Business Studies and was planning to gain work experience in his gap year before going on to university.
He enjoyed many outdoor activities and was a keen rugby player representing Stamford School in the 2nd XV. He had recently achieved his grade 6 in his LAMDA performance exams. He was a well-known and engaging member of the School with a positive outlook and therefore he was a natural choice to represent his peers on the Sixth Form Council.
Harry’s enthusiasm and good sense of humour made him popular with everyone and he will be greatly missed. All those who knew Harry at the Stamford Endowed Schools are devastated by this news and our thoughts and prayers are with his family at this difficult time.
A Book of Condolence has been placed in the Stamford School Chapel and this will be passed to the family in due course.
