Cast Shine in Summer Musical

Year Six children spent their last full week at Stamford Junior School participating in Stage Six, a week-long musical theatre workshop, which is now in its fifth year at the school.

Each of the three form groups performed one act of a brand new musical, ‘Fairy Tale Fever’, written and directed by Old Stamfordian Jonathan Fisher. Rehearsals began on Monday, and the children enthusiastically learnt all the choreography and direction within a remarkably short amount of time, performing twice to packed audiences on Saturday 30th June. All seventy members of the cast had a speaking part.

Jonathan said: “It was a terrific pleasure to work with the children, who all rose to the challenge with great energy and spirit. For many, it will have been an entirely new experience, and to perform with such confidence and professionalism was a real achievement.”
