SES Participate in The Big Draw
Over two days in October, the Stamford Endowed Schools took part in the world’s biggest celebration of drawing. ‘The Big Draw’ is a campaign for drawing event which seeks to raise the profile of drawing and gives anyone the chance to get involved.
The Schools welcomed Geoff Lee and Karen Neale as guest artists, and they oversaw the students in the production of composite drawings of the various school buildings. Staff, pupils and ex-pupils all got involved and used a range of different media, including collage and rubbings, to produce some beautiful artwork.
Annabelle Holland, Head of Art at the Stamford Endowed Schools said, “The days were extremely successful and even better than we had hoped. The atmosphere was buzzing with young ‘artists’ everywhere! On behalf of SES, I would like to say a big thank you to Karen Neale and Geoff Lee for their enthusiastic participation.”
