Translators Participate in International Competition

 Five Y13 students have taken part in a Young Translators competition run by the European Commission, Juvenes Translatores.

The Stamford Endowed Schools’ were selected as one of 73 schools in England and there are 27 countries in total competing. The students who are representing SES are:

Liam Barnard and Fiona Frost – German to English
Ciaran Forrow and Will Heath – Spanish to English
Verity Rimmer – French to English

Each of these students has taken an exam and will find out in the coming months how they have done. The winner from each of the 27 countries will be invited to Brussels for the awards ceremony in April.
