Outstanding GCSE results

Outstanding GCSE results complete another excellent year at the Stamford Endowed Schools. The students at both Stamford School and Stamford High School are celebrating very strong grades, with the girls achieving record high results.

Girls at Stamford High School and Boys at Stamford School are celebrating more excellent achievements in their public examinations – this time at GCSE. At both schools students achieved impressively high pass rates at the top grades A* or A, the girls achieving a record 66.9% and the boys their second best results of 52%

Principal of the Stamford Endowed Schools, Mr Stephen Roberts said, "Yet again we are celebrating the outstanding results of our students. We are extremely proud of their achievements and congratulate them and their teachers on this high level of success. It is clear that these results are the outcome of hard work, careful preparation and excellent teaching and will give all of our students every confidence to go on to further success in the sixth form. Coming on top of last week’s first-class A-level results, these provide the culmination of another outstanding year for the Endowed Schools.”

25 students (18 girls; 7 boys) gained 8 A* grades or better.

 

Stamford High School (girls)

Entered 86 students.

% A*/A grades = 66.9% (record)

% A*-C grades (i.e. pass) = 98.4%

% of students gaining 5 or more C grades = 100%

 

 

Stamford School (boys)

Entered 91 students

% A*/A grades = 52%

% A*-C grades (i.e. pass) = 97.5%

% of students gaining 5 or more C grades = 98%
