Choir Win Award at Peterborough Music Festival

 Peterborough Music Festival On 21st March, Stamford Junior School Choir performed at Peterborough Music Festival. The choir entered two classes and performed ‘Ain’t it great to be crazy’ and ‘The Lord is My Shepherd.’

For their first piece, ‘Ain’t it great to be crazy,’ the Junior School choir were awarded The Committee Shield and won the School Choirs Y3-6 class. Their performance was exceptional, both technically and artistically. The adjudicator wrote: “Slick, confident singing of a fun song, delivered with real style. Well done!”

The choir then went on to sing ‘The Lord is my Shepherd’ and gained a ‘Distinction’ Certificate for another outstanding performance. Soloists Rosie Harvey and Ben Lawrence were commended for their excellent pitch and confident, controlled phrasing. Congratulations to everyone for all your hard work.
