Molly Gains Rotary Exchange Placement
Stamford High School Student, Molly Mitchell Y12, has just been accepted by the Rotary Club to take part in an international exchange programme to California this summer.
After being inspired by a talk at SHS last autumn, Molly started the rigorous application process. Competition for each place is fierce as only one student of each nationality can be accepted per programme. Molly’s determination paid off and following her application she was interviewed by Stamford Rotary Club. She has recently found out that her application was successful and she will be one of 12 students from across the world taking part in the California programme.
Molly will travel to California at the beginning of the summer holidays where she will stay with a host family for three weeks. During the exchange, Molly will be attending Rotary functions and giving presentations about her culture, as well having the opportunity to go on some wonderful trips. She will also have to prepare a presentation about Stamford and her life as an SHS pupil.
