Another Student Wins Deloitte Scholarship
Stamford School boy, Angus Pinner Y13, is this year’s second SES student to win a prestigious Deloitte Scholarship. Both Angus, and Lucy Hughes, from Stamford High School, will begin their Scholar’s Scheme in August, gaining eight month work placements in a Deloitte office.
Angus worked through the rigorous Deloitte application process which included an application form, numerical reasoning tests, and three interviews, before receiving the news that he had gained a place on the scheme. Angus will be working in the Audit sector and will be based at Deloitte’s Reading office during his placement. Once the placement has finished, Angus will receive a bursary to fund four months of travel, before starting university in September 2014. He will then receive a bursary of £1,500 a year and become a student ambassador for Deloitte.
Angus said: “The scheme allows me to gain a greater understanding of the world of finance and to develop my own skills whilst working under the wing of professionals. I cannot wait to begin this new challenge as it will create a springboard to a career in finance.”
