SES Dominate at MISGA Championships

 Forty five SES gymnasts, from Year 1 up to Sixth Form, took part in the Midlands Independent Schools Gymnastics Championships (MISGA) in Birmingham. The gymnasts ranged from novice to advanced level and there were many medals awarded throughout the different age ranges.

All gymnasts competed well and gained valuable experience. The U7 and U11 Novice teams were unlucky to miss out on team medals. Many of the SES teams gained team medals; the U11 Mixed, U11 Advanced and U9 Novice all won bronze medals. The U9 Advanced and the Senior Advanced team became team champions which was an incredible achievement. 

 There were also a number of individual SES medallists and 3 individual Champions – Issy Reading (U9 Novice), Isabella Plant (U9 Advanced) and Lottie Smith (Senior Advanced). Please see below for a breakdown of results:

Individual Medallists –

U9 Novice – Hannah Forrester (5th), Issy Reading (1st – U9 Novice Champion)
U9 Advanced – Rachel Harte (3rd), Isabella Plant (1st – U9 Advanced Champion)
U11 Mixed – Isabella Plant (4th), Lottie Davies (3rd).
U11 Advanced – Lottie Davies – 4th
Senior advanced – Ciara Mark (6th) Danni Prior (5th) Emilie Morris (4th) Maddy Young (2nd) and Lottie Smith (1st – Senior Advanced Champion)
