Kings and Queens Day!
Y1 began their Kings and Queens Day by delivering a traditional assembly to their parents on a castle theme. At the end of the assembly, the jester became the compere for Medieval TV and all the children enthusiastically danced in “The Castle’s Got Talent.”
The day continued with pupils making a Medieval pudding, playing 3 Men’s Merrell, writing and sealing proclamations and making shields and crowns. The day was rounded up in “The Great Hall” with pupils taking on medieval roles and recounting how they had spent their day before eating their pudding and sampling bread from the top table and the servants’ table. The finer top table bread was a clear favourite!
