Successful Overseas Information Evening

On Wednesday 12th June the Stamford Endowed Schools hosted an information evening on overseas universities for students and parents throughout the schools. The evening proved particularly popular and the strong uptake was a clear indication that SES pupils are looking further afield when choosing an undergraduate degree that will prepare them for the changing workplace and prove good value for money.

The evening began with a keynote speech from Paul Jackson outlining the benefits of studying abroad. Paul Jackson has recently retired from Coventry University where he taught Strategy, HRM and Management to MBA students all over the world. Professor Charles then followed this speech with an enticing introduction to studying in Denmark.

Parents and students then split into smaller groups and were given information about studying in Ireland/Germany and the USA.

Students interested in studying abroad should contact Mrs MacCarthy who co-ordinates SES’s overseas university applications.
