Students Coached by Former England Cricketer
Stamford School were delighted to have Paul Nixon perform a wicket keeping master class for the staff and students. The former Leicestershire and England keeper played 355 first class games, taking 889 catches and 67 stumping’s and an additional 19 1 day Internationals. Paul produced a fantastic coaching session that not only inspired the pupils but gave them plenty of technical guidance to take away.
Cricket Professional Dean Headley, said: “The experience and simplicity that ‘Nico’ brought to the session will be vital to the growth of our wicket keepers. It was clear to see the benefits to both the beginner and elite players.”
