Girls Represent National Football Squad

 ISFA GirlsTwo pupils from Stamford High School played their first two football matches for the Independent Schools Football Association’s (ISFA) U18 squad. Sixth formers, Abbie Brewin and Hannah Brewis played in matches against Rugby Town and Oxford University as part of the ISFA’s October Camp. 

The ISFA squad beat Rugby Town Ladies 8-0 with Abbie Brewin scoring the fifth goal from the rebound. The team then went on to face Oxford University where they managed a 1-1 draw.

Andy Eliot, PE Teacher at Stamford High School said, “Both Abbie and Hannah are very talented footballers who played an integral part in the first fixtures for the National U18 Independent Schools. We wish them the best of luck for their future games.”
