Stamford Boy’s Learn from the Best
Rugby players at Stamford School enjoyed an expert coaching session, as they developed their skills under the watchful eye of Leicester Tigers star, Geordan Murphy. Geordan, capped 74 times by Ireland and a British and Irish Lion ran two sessions with the under 13s and the under 16s mainly focusing on decision making and support in attack.
Head of Rugby at Stamford School, David Laventure, was impressed: "It’s great for the boys to hear from players like Geordan with his wealth of experience in the game- he's a natural! The boys took away plenty of tips."
Henry Hives Y11 and current Tigers EPDG player: "I learned a lot from that -it is a simple game! Geordan is a great guy!"
