Park House provides boarding for senior girls aged 16-18
Park House is situated on Burghley Lane next to the beautiful Burghley Park. It is only a minute from the main school building and about a ten minute walk into the centre of Stamford.
Catherine Vie, the resident Houseparent, leads a team of committed and friendly staff who are dedicated to the well-being of girls in their care. Because all the girls in Park are in the Sixth Form, they have a close bond as all are studying for A levels, enjoying their social life and looking beyond life at school.
Park can accommodate 23 girls. There are 13 single study bedrooms and five twin bedrooms, all with appropriate bathroom facilities. There are four kitchenettes for shared use as well as the communal kitchen which can be used for drinks and snacks and even the occasional baking of cakes! All rooms have plenty of storage and study space and poster boards. At weekends, Sixth Form boarders have the privilege of a lie in and having their breakfast in the House.
The girls enjoy full use of two common rooms where they can watch TV, including SKY, play piano or read the variety of newspapers and magazines delivered daily.
There is an attractive enclosed, private garden with seating and space to play badminton. The well equipped computer room gives girls full access to the School internet and email system, and wireless is available for girls with their own laptops.
There is a wide range of after school and Saturday morning activities/revision sessions for the girls to enjoy, and Sunday lunch after Chapel is shared with boarders from the wider community of Stamford Endowed Schools.
