Stamford has seven charming boarding houses which cater for boys and girls aged between 7 and 18 years of age. They are made up of private bedrooms and small dormitories, with no more than five students to a room. Each house is light and airy, has a warm, homely décor and includes facilities such as a common room, activity rooms and private study/quiet rooms.
The Houseparents of each house provide a nurturing, supportive environment and are the first point of contact for any issue or question that parents may have. In addition, a team of year group heads, form teachers and house staff help nurture boarders on an individual basis.
A wide range of food options are available for boarders, with three meals each day and choices at each meal. Each house also has kitchens where snacks can be made. The School has its own medical centre and nurses on site. In the evenings boarders are able to make use of the extensive on-site school facilities including our £6.1m sports centre with a state of the art fitness suite and 25m pool.
The boarding houses are where friendships are made and a community is developed, but as Stamford is also a day school the boarders also have the opportunity to be part of the town and the lives of friends who live locally.
