Students Help Raise Funds at Charity Ball
Sixth form students from the Stamford Endowed Schools volunteered at the 7th annual Evergreen Care Trust Ball where they helped to raise over £6000 for the charity, making it the most successful ball yet. The Evergreen Care Trust seeks to support older and vulnerable adults in the local community and the Ball helps to raise crucial funds for the charity’s work.
The students gave up their evening and with great humour they threw themselves into various activities to support the smooth running of the Ball. They ran the tombola, provided a photographic service for the guests, assisted in the cloakroom and sold raffle tickets.
Vincent O’Shea, Chairman of the Friends of The Evergreen Trust said, “Our grateful thanks to all the students who helped make the evening such a success. We had many comments from the guests as to what a very fine group of young people they were, a credit to themselves, their families and of course the Stamford Endowed Schools.”
