Pupils Enjoy a Lesson in Tie-Dye
A group of Stamford Junior School pupils enjoyed making tie-dye t-shirts at the latest Saturday morning activity. The children from Years 3-6 donned their aprons and used elastic bands to make spirals, polka dots and other creative patterns, before tipping the dye onto the t-shirts.
After that the pupils turned their hands to watercolours. By wetting the paper first, they made the watercolour paints spread out and created some interesting patterns.
Junior School teacher, Emma Spridgen, said: “We had a great morning and the children are looking forward to wearing their tie-dye t-shirts with pride.”
