Debating Success for Stamford School Students
Stamford School students Giorgio Rubbo (Year 12) and Rory Russell (Year 11) successfully progressed to the next round of the ESU Debating nationals.
Giorgio and Rory, part of the Stamford School debating team, have started confidently in the ESU Debating Nationals, on 24th November the boys took on six other teams beating Oakham to a place in the Area Finals. The evening consisted of three debates with the top three teams then going through to the next stage, the motion for the debate was “This house would introduce a 100% inheritance tax." Stamford School, New College Stamford and Loughborough Grammar School will now debate at the next level in February.
